Gregory MP Sean Dillon's Emerald office was a collection point for a heartfelt array of home baking, quilts, craft activities, soap, potholders, cushions, children’s clothing, jam, marmalade and chutney and letters from school students headed west to Longreach for delivery by the local QCWA Western Division branch to flood-affected farmers on Wednesday 21 May.
The initiative was supported by the Baked With Love community with contributions from across the Central Highlands. Delivery was facilitated by Team Global Express.
"How awesome is this," Mr Dillon commented.
"It's acts of kindness like this that remind us just how strong and generous people in Gregory really are."
